I have a portfolio career - as a writer, management consultant, instructor and coach - after twenty years in the corporate world. My background is computing and IT (programmer to management), then into project management working on large & international projects. I’ve run my own business since 1997.

What’s my Portfolio?

I work as a management consultant, instructor and coach. It still amazes me that people become ‘managers’ without any training and then we wonder why our organisations don’t perform as well as they could!

I’m also a University Lecturer in both Business and in Computing – and now you know two of my passions.

I’m a writer, specialising in producing web content for my clients and then publishing it online for them too (that means updating their web pages, autoresponders, newsletters, emails, blog posts, etc).

My Expertise

I'm qualified with a degree in Computing and MBA Technology Management. I'm a member of the Association for Project Management and the British Computer Society, as well as being a Certificated Project Manager and a Chartered IT Professional.

I sit in the gap between the technical world and the business world – speaking the language of both, in plain English!

Why Suite 101?

It’s great to write about any topic I like – you’ll find articles from me in the technology, business management and personal development sections, as well as occasional forays elsewhere.
